FRANCHISE is a powerful display typeface meant to communicate rapidly and with power without compromising style. Franchise is just as much at home on the front of a donut shoppe as it is on the scoreboard at a football stadium.

This was the original description given when the face was released, and it proved quite prophetic as the typeface has been used all over the world in just about every industry. You can get a small taste of its versatility by checking out the face in use.

The full version is an extension of the original face, but it is also a re-working of it. Optical adjustments provide for a more legible face, and one that plays nicely in different weights. Rounded corners have given way to decisive edges and deliberate angles. Each weight speaks a distinct language on its own, but mixing the weights provides for an engaging texture and solid balance of legibility and power that works hard for you. And that’s what makes for a great display face, is it not?

And now…now we have lowercase characters and oblique, which make the font just about the most versatile display (and even medium text) face around. I dare you to find a usage for which this font doesn’t work.

[amamo] Download ZoidicFun fonts from Ingrimayne Type

Designed by Robert Schenk, ZoidicFun is a display sans font family. This typeface has ten styles and was published by Ingrimayne Type . Download Now Server 1 Download Now Server 2 Download Now Server 3 The letters of ZoidicFun are like sheep: they do not like being alone but want to be part of a flock. Many of the individual letters of ZoidicFun look strange and unshapely in isolation because they are designed to fit into a pattern with other letters. That pattern is formed by alternating asymmetric trapezoids, with trapezoids that are wide at the top alternating with trapezoids that are wide at the bottom. The magic of the OpenType feature of contextual alternatives (calt) automatically alternates them. The fonts in the family are largely monospaced and have very tight letter spacing. (If for some reason one wants to use only one set of the letters, the letters will overlap unless one widens character spacing.) (If D and O are too similar, use the alternative versions of D.) The f...

I found this method the most useful when you need to experiment with design very fast. All characters are available through Glyph panel as well, even more each of the alternate letter has it’s own unicode (PUA) so you can copy/paste from Apple Font Book or Windows Character Map. Total amount of glyphs 1436. Compatible with SILHOU...
